THE ARTIST BEHIND RIDE OR DIE DESIGN.

I run Ride or Die Design as a side job (currently but fingers crossed). During the day I work for an HVAC ductwork company doing their estimates, payroll, and bookkeeping. I have 3 dogs. A red-haired mutt named Skylar, a rambunctious Frenchie named Fibi, and another tamer but truck of a Frenchie named Ursa.

I have always been interested in cars since I was a kid. My dad was really into RC cars and go carts. He was into building RC boats and other engineering based projects. So, he was always working on our personal vehicles.

My ride has always been important to me. I couldn't afford or justify spending 10s of thousands on my personal ride; so, I would always be driving something that was very run of the mill. Vinyl decals and stickers were my bread and butter. Something you can do easily to show that this Dodge Neon is different than anyone else's. Meeting new people, in the small towns I lived in, would always be fun when they would say "Oh you drive that!" because they had seen my car with it's stickers somewhere before.

How it
Started

It's 2019 and I had decided that I wanted a Geo Tracker. After the long story of finding Sadie, I got her. The first thing that I noticed was that this Ride got ALOT of attention when I was driving around. Everytime that I stopped for Taco Bell or something else the person in the window would compliment her.

One night I decided to draw her and order the stickers so that any time someone gave me a compliment I could hand them a little sticker of her as a thank you.

People lost their minds.

They would immediately show whoever was around and be like "That's SO COOL!" After that happening a few times a woman who worked at a gas station near my house (about 10 miles away because I lived in the sticks) said that her husband wanted some.

After that it just started taking off. More and more people wanted them. After about 6 months I was burnt out. I wasn't charging people near enough. At the time I was outsourcing all of the sticker printing and it cost the majority of the money I made.

I ended up stopping. But now it's 2023 and I have purchased all the equipment to manufacture higher quality stickers myself. I missed it too much anyways. I can't begin to explain how much I love doing this and how excited I am to be back.

MEET MY
SADIE

1991 Geo Tracker
Sadie

I had decided that I wanted a Geo Tracker in 2019 and started looking across the country for one. I wanted one that was in good enough shape to be my daily driver. I was on Facebook Market Place, Craigslist, google. You name it and I was checking it. After a few weeks, I had been following #geotracker on instagram and there was an image of Sadie posted.

I clicked on it to save it and when I did the caption mentioned that she was selling her Tracker because she didn't have a nic nac shelf big enough to hold her. I immediately messaged her. She wanted over double what my budget had been BUT she only had 40k miles and was the third owner.

I ended up getting a bank loan, selling the Tahoe I was currently driving, and wire transferring it to the owner. Her and her husband actually sell JDM cars out of Florida which means I had to find a way to get her from there to Texas where I was currently living.

After alot of debate I ended up getting her put on the back of an 18 wheeler and shipped to me. I didn't know how to drive a stick so my boss actually had to go with me to meet the trucker and drive it back. He gave me lessons in a school parking lot that same day.

Ever since then, Sadie is honestly a HUGE part of my life. She isn't some super car or anything but I can't imagine not having her.
